According to SeaNews PORTSTAT analytic online service, the total cargo throughput of all the Russian sea ports during January-June 2021 amounted to more than 412.1 mn tons (+0.4% year-on-year). Five terminals handled 113.6 mn tons or 27.6% of this volume.
CPC-R in Novorossiysk was the leader in January-June 2021 in terms of cargo throughput. Its cargo traffic decreased by 3.7% year-on-year down to 30.1 mn tons.
Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port rated the second in January-June 2021. Cargo traffic via terminal amounted to 27.8 mn tons, down 6.8% year-on-year.
Primorsk Commercial Port handled 26.1 mn tons, down 11.5% year-on-year.
Cargo throughput via Transneft Kozmino Port in Vostochny decreased by 2.4% down to 16.8 mn tons.
Vostochny Port handled 12.8 mn tons. Its cargo traffic was down 7.1% year-on-year.
It should be noted that the stevedores which demonstrated the highest growth did not get into the Top-5.
Primoretz Fishing Cooperative in Nakhodka saw its cargo traffic surge 30.7-fold, Za Rodiny Fishing Cooperative in Kaliningrad was up 21.3-fold and Temryuk Commercial Sea Port , which started operating in May 2020, was up 18.2-fold.
The largest decrease in cargo traffic was in Anroskrym in port Kavkaz (-95.7%), Balt Nafta Cooperative in Kaliningrad (-94.4%), and Terminal-Sovgavan in Sovetskaya Gavan (-85.6%).
