According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-March 2021 Russia exported 10.2 mn tons of ferrous metals, up 6.6% year-on-year. In terms of value, ferrous metals export grew by 32.8% up to $5.2 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export was down 8.7% year-on-year to 3.4 mn tons. In terms of value, it increased by 9.5% up to $1.6 bn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in January-March 2021 grew by 32.3% year-on-year up to 2 mn tons worth $1.3 bn, up 68.7%.
Cast iron export during the first 3 months 2021 surged by 47.9% year-on-year up to 839 thousand tons worth over $317.2 mn, up 82.1%.
Ferroalloys export in January-March 2021 decreased by 12.7% year-on-year down to 175.5 thousand tons worth $244.6 mn (-5.5%).
According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, in March 2021 ferrous metals export was down 8.4% year-on-year and up 12% month-on-month to 3.4 mn tons. In terms of value, it grew by 27.3% year-on-year and by 17.8% month-on-month to make $1.9 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export in March 2021 was down 32.9% year-on-year and down 19.7% month-on-month making 885 thousand tons. In terms of value, it decreased by 12% year-on-year and by 13.2% month-on-month to $461.3 mn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in March 2021 was up 23% year-on-year and up 10.9% month-on-month making 686.2 thousand tons worth $455 mn (up 70.9% year-on-year and up 16.2% month-on-month).
Cast iron export in March 2021 made 470.2 thousand tons, up 70.1% year-on-year and up 78.9% month-on-month. In terms of value, it amounted to $180.2 mn, up 2.1-fold year-on-year and up 84.1% month-on-month.
Ferroalloy export in March 2021 was down 31.8% year-on-year and up 2.9% month-on-month to 56.6 thousand tons. In terms of value, it declined by 15.1% year-on-year and grew by 15.4% month-on-month to make $87.7 mn.
