China – Europe Container Transit via Kaliningrad Oblast Up Almost 5-Fold

47.5 thousand TEU was carried between China and Europe using the infrastructure of the Kaliningrad Railway, up 4.6-fold year-on-year.

According to the Kaliningrad Railway, over 29.1 thousand TEU of this traffic was multimodal delivery, with containers shipped from Baltiysk and Kaliningrad Commercial Sea Port on board feeder vessels.

18.4 thousand TEU was pure rail delivery with cargo crossing the border via the Mamonovo/Branevo checkpoint.
