Продуктовый импорт, 10 месяцев 2020: поставки молочной продукции растут

Food Products Import in January-October 2020: Dairy Imports Up

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-October 2020 fresh and frozen meat import was down 30% to 220.6 thousand tons. Fresh and frozen poultry import increased by 5.7% up to 195.5 thousand tons. Fish import declined by 9.4% down to 306.9 thousand tons. Canned meat and meat specialties import grew by 15.3% making 16.6 thousand tons.

    Milk and condensed cream import was down 16.8% to 126.1 thousand tons. Butter import increased by 15% amounting to 108.9 thousand tons. Cheese import grew by 14.2% up to 253.6 thousand tons.

    Palm oil import was down 0.7% to 863.9 thousand tons.

    Citrus fruit import was down 7.9% to 1.1 mn tons. Banana import increased by 1.8% up to 1.3 mn tons, and apple import by 7.3% up to 846.3 thousand tons.

    Raw sugar import increased by 12.5% up to 6.3 thousand tons, white sugar import dropped by 38.2% down to 137.8 thousand tons.

    Coffee import in January-October grew by 5.3% up to 192.9 thousand tons, and tea import by 4.4% up to 127.9 thousand tons.

    In October, the following categories demonstrated a year-on-year decrease in import volumes: citrus fruit (down 20.4% to 109.1 thousand tons), fish (down 20.9% to 46.6 thousand tons), fresh and frozen meat (down 20.9% to 22.7 thousand tons), milk and condensed cream (down 8.2% to 12.3 thousand tons), canned meat and meat specialties (down 28.8% to 1.3 thousand tons). Other food products import was up.

    Compared to September 2020, the import of milk and condensed cream, and canned meat and meat specialties declined, the rest of the food product categories under report were up.

    In October, coffee import increased by 19.9% year-on-year and by 16.7% month-on-month to make 21.7 thousand tons. Tea import was up 9.9% year-on-year and up 0.8% month-on-month to 13.3 thousand tons.
