According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-October 2020 Russia imported 43.3 mn pairs of leather footwear, down 18.1% year-on-year. In terms of value, leather footwear import decreased by 21.6% year-on-year down to $1.1 bn.
Clothes import into Russia declined by 4.9% down to $5.9 bn.
Cotton fabric import during the first 10 months was up 3.3% year-on-year to $136 mn.
Cotton fabric export from Russia grew by 4% year-on-year up to $41.9 mn.
In October, leather footwear import declined by 13.2% year-on-year and by 23.3% month-on-month making 3.3 mn pairs worth $123.4 mn, down 5.9% year-on-year and down 12.9% month-on-month.
Clothes import was up 2.8% year-on-year and down 11.7% month-on-month to $594.7 mn.
Cotton fabric import in October grew by 34% year-on-year and by 37.7% month-on-month amounting to $20.1 mn.
Cotton fabric export increased by 17.9% year-on-year and by 17.9% month-on-month to make $4.6 mn.
