According to SeaNews PORTSTAT analytic online service, the total container throughput of all the Russian sea ports during January-November 2020 amounted to 4.8 mn TEU. Five terminals handled more than 2.7 mn TEU or 55.3% of this volume.
Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg remains the leader in terms of container throughput. Its container traffic decreased by 12.7% down to 609.1 thousand TEU.
Commercial Port of Vladivostok (VMTP) handled 601.5 thousand TEU, up 6.4% year-on-year.
Container traffic via First Container Terminal amounted to 596 thousand TEU, down 0.8% year-on-year.
NUTEP increased its container traffic by 32.7% up to 437.9 thousand TEU.
Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company handled 413.2 thousand TEU, up 15.7% year-on-year.

It should be noted that the highest container throughput growth was via Arctic Consulting Service in Arkhangelsk. Its container traffic surged 6.3-fold. Nikolaevsk Commercial Sea Port was up 6.3-fold, Directorate for Construction under the Presidential Administrative Department in the Far Eastern Federal District of Vladivostok up 91.1%.
Also, astronomical growth figures were demonstrated by stevedores, which had just several containers last year and this year handled many times more, such as Olya Commercial Sea Port (+46,300%) and Makhachkala Commercial Sea Port (+5,700%).
The largest decrease in container traffic was in Vladivostok Sea Terminal (-90.8%), Dalzavod-Terminal in Vladivostok (-89.6%) and Sea Port of the Troitsa Bay in Zarubino (-78.3%).
