During January-October 2020 Russia’s export of sawn goods made more than 15.9 mn tons, down 5.2% year-on-year. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, sawn goods export was down 4.1% making $3.7 bn.
Logs export decreased by 3.9% year-on-year down to 12.2 mn cbm worth $810.8 mn, down 9.9% year-on-year.
Plywood export increased by 4.3% year-on-year to make 2.4 mn cbm worth $950.9 mn, down 1.7% year-on-year.
Wood pulp export in January-October 2020 amounted to 1.9 mn tons, up 12% year-on-year worth $821.1 mn, down 6.8% year-on-year.
Newsprint export made 925.2 thousand tons, down 9.5% year-on-year, worth $313 mn, down 33.3% year-on-year.
In October, sawn goods export made 1.5 mn tons, down 14.1% year-on-year and down 10.1% month-on-month worth $343.6 mn, down 9.7% year-on-year and down 9.4% month-on-month.
Logs export made more than 1.3 mn cbm, up 4.1% year-on-year and down 3.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, it remained much on the previous year’s level and declined by 1.2% month-on-month to make $84.1 mn.
Plywood export in October, made 305.5 thousand cbm, up 27.7% year-on-year and up 19.9% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 8.3% year-on-year and by 0.9% month-on-month making to $103.2 mn.
Wood pulp export made 212.6 thousand tons, up 20.9% year-on-year and down 5.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export grew by 29.7% year-on-year and decreased by 4.4% month-on-month to make $92.5 mn.
Newsprint export declined by 29.5% year-on-year and by 24.3% month-on-month to make 64.8 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was down 38.4% year-on-year and down 23.5% month-to-month to $21.8 mn.
