During January-June 2020 Russia’s export of sawn goods made more than 9.2 mn tons, down 6.6% year-on-year. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, sawn goods export was down 6.3% making $2.1 bn.
Logs export decreased by 15.6% year-on-year down to 6.4 mn cbm worth $447 mn, down 20.8% year-on-year.
Plywood export increased by 4.5% year-on-year to make 1.4 mn cbm worth $570.2 mn, down 3.3% year-on-year.
Wood pulp export in H1 2020 amounted to 1.1 mn tons, up 5% year-on-year worth $469.1 mn, down 19.2% year-on-year.
Newsprint export made 580.6 thousand tons, down 6.3% year-on-year, worth $198.7 mn, down 34.6% year-on-year.
In June, sawn goods export made 1.9 mn tons, up 9.8% year-on-year and up 17.8% month-on-month worth $419.8 mn, up 8.9% year-on-year and up 15.7% month-on-month.
Logs export made 1.4 mn cbm, up 16.4% year-on-year and up 20.6% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 12.8% year-on-year and by 14.2% month-on-month to make $93.3 mn.
Plywood export in June made 223.4 thousand cbm, down 6.1% year-on-year and up 3% month-on-month. In terms of value, it declined by 4.9% year-on-year and grew by 0.4% month-on-month making to $92.7 mn.
Wood pulp export amounted to 193.3 thousand tons, up 17.7% year-on-year and up 46.2% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export decreased by 3.2% year-on-year and increased by 49.7% month-on-month to make $88.3 mn.
Newsprint export declined by 12.5% year-on-year and by 17.2% month-on-month to make 87.9 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was down 33.6% year-on-year and down 15.4% month-to-month to $29.7 mn.
