According to SeaNews PORTSTAT analytic online service, the total container throughput of all the Russian sea ports during January-May 2020 amounted to 2.2 mn TEU. Five terminals handled 1.2 mn TEU or 55.8% of this volume.
Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg remains the leader in terms of container throughput. Its container traffic decreased by 13.6% down to 297.9 thousand TEU.
First Container Terminal saw its container traffic grow by 1.6% up to 273.6 thousand TEU.
Container traffic via Commercial Port of Vladivostok (VMTP) amounted to 256.8 thousand TEU, up 10.1% year-on-year.
NUTEP increased its container traffic by 34.2% up to 215.6 thousand TEU.
Petrolesport handled 183.8 thousand TEU, up 31.2% year-on-year.

The highest container throughput growth was via Arctic Consulting Service in Arkhangelsk. Its container traffic surged 15.7-fold. Sea Port of the Troitsa Bay of Zarubino was up 4.8-fold, and Pervomayskiy Seaport of Vladivostok up 62.6%.
The largest decrease in container traffic was in Prostor DV in Sovetskaya Gavan (-94.9%), Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (-57.6%) and Nakhodka Sea Fishing Port (-50.8%).
