According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-September 2019 Russia exported 10.5 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, up 2.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export grew by 9.1% up to some $2.2 bn.
Mixed fertilizers export amounted to 8.1 mn tons, which is 3.3% below the result for January-September 2018. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export increased by 1.2% up to $2.5 bn.
Potash fertilizers export during the first nine months of 2019 increased by 11.4% up to more than 6.3 mn tons. In terms of value, it grew by 30.5% up to $1.6 bn.
In September, nitric fertilizers export was down 4.4% year-on-year and up 13.8% month-on-month making 1.4 mn tons worth $263.1 mn (down 5.9% year-on-year and up 3.7% month-on-month).
Mixed fertilizers export in September made 1.3 mn tons, up 58.5% year-on-year and up 48.4% month-on-month. In terms of value, it surged by 49.7% year-on-year and by 56.2% month-on-month up to $376.5 mn.
Potash fertilizers export in September increased by 42.3% year-on-year and by 34% month-on-month to make 911.7 thousand tons worth $228.2 mn, up 45.1% year-on-year and up 27.2% month-on-month.
