According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-September 2018 Russia exported 34.6 mn tons of ferrous metals, up 11.8% year-on-year.
In terms of value, ferrous metals export grew 31.7% up to $17.6 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export increased 14.2% up to 11.9 mn tons. In terms of value, this commodity export was up 44.7% to $6.1 bn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export declined 6.8% down to 6.1 mn tons. In terms of value, iron and unalloyed steel flat section export increased 11% up to $3.8 bn. Cast iron export grew 26.9% up to 4.3 mn tons. In terms of value, cast iron export surged 40% up to some $1.6 bn.
In September, ferroalloys export made 684.9 thousand tons, up 3.1-old month-on-month.
Ferroalloys export was up 7.2% to 590.5 thousand tons worth $984.4 mn (+1.8%).
