According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-October Russia exported 26.8 mn tons of wheat and meslin, down 8.7% year-on-year. In terms of value, grain export grew by 14.2% up to $7 bn.
Wheat import into Russia during January-October 2021 increased by 10.2% up to 115.3 thousand tons. Corn import declined by 29.4% down to 32 thousand tons. Barley import made 6.2 thousand tons was down 83.7% year-on-year.
In terms of value, wheat import was up 34.9% to $45.2 mn. Corn import was down 11.6% to $99.4 mn, barley import declined by 67.2% down to $1.9 mn.
In October 2021 wheat and meslin export made 2.8 mn tons, down 38.3% year-on-year and down 38.8% month-on-month. In terms of value, it declined by 12.7% year-on-year and by 34.2% month-on-month to make $831.1 mn.
Wheat import in October made 6.2 thousand tons, down 64.8% year-on-year and down 8.8% month-on-month. Value-wise, wheat import decreased by 47.6% year-on-year and grew by 19.2% month-on-month to $3.1 mn.
Corn import was up 2-fold year-on-year and surged 2-fold month-on-month making 200 tons. In terms of value, it was the same as in October last year and up 2-fold month-on-month to make $200 thousand.
Barley import was non-existent in October.
