TransContainer has launched a new train service for imports from China to Russia via the Suifenghe-Grodekovo border crossing, the company said in a statement.
The train is routed from Shenyang in China to the station of Selyatino in Moscow region. The first train started on August 19 carrying 124 TEU laden with cars. The expected transit time is 20 days. The potential cargo flow is estimated to make 4-5 block trains a month.
With the growing demand for import transport services, TransContainer is expanding its transport product portfolio to provide more flexibility in routes and transit time, Alexander Podylov, TransContainer VP, Commerce, said.
‘We aim to continue to expand our presence in key border crossing points offering our customers our services to deliver their cargo. Thus, our new service will allow of transporting to Russia cargo accumulated in northern provinces of China with an attractive transit time’, he added.
