The Main Department of State Expertise (Glavgosexpertiza) has granted approval of the project documentation for the Port Bukhta Sever oil terminal project on the Taimyr Peninsula.
The terminal is to be built on the basis of the sea port of Dikson that is undergoing expansion. The terminal will be used to load crude from the new Payakha oilfield cluster in the Taimyr oil and gas province for delivery to customers in Russia, Europe and APR along the Northern Sea Route.
The project envisages three stages. At the first stage, berths for support fleet and handling cargo for the construction of the terminal are to be built.
At the second stage, oil berths and storage tanks for 26.1 mn tons per annum are to be built. At the third stage, navigation aids and navigation safety objects are to be installed in the port basin.
The quay length will make 1,200 meters, the project capacity of the terminal is 28.36 mn tons and expected throughput is 26.98 mn tons of o9il per annum.
