FESCO Reroutes Turkish Cargo to St. Petersburg

  • FESCO Transport Group has rerouted its intermodal container service from Ankara, Turkey, from Novorossiysk to St. Petersburg.

The updated route includes regular railway shipments from Ankara to the port of Gebze where containers are loaded on board FESCO-operated vessels for delivery to St. Petersburg.

The first shipment consisting of 40 TEU left Ankara on September 19. On arrival to Gebze the cargo was loaded on board the Group’s vessel bound for St. Petersburg. The expected transit time is about 20 days.

After unloading in St. Petersburg, FESCO can offer delivery to other regions of Russia using own trucks or rail services.
