Rail freight transportation via the North-South international transport corridor continues to grow, Russian Railways report.
According to the company, 1.1 million tons of cargo was carried by the route in August 2026, up 33.3% year-on-year.
During January-August 2026, 7.8 million tons was transported, up 7% year-on-year.
Russian Railways view increasing rail traffic by the North-South international transport corridor as a strategic aim, the company said.
