  • Ruscon, Delo Group’s multimodal operator, has organized the first own voyage from China to Russia via the Northern Sea Group, the Group said in a statement.

The 3,700 TEU “Honfu” container vessel deployed in Ruscon’s regular China – Russia service has arrived at Delo’s terminal in St. Petersburg traversing the Northern Sea Route.

Previously, the service was routed via the Suez.

The expected transit time via the Northern Sea Route is 25 days compared to 45 days via the Suez.

The service rotation includes Chinese ports of Nansha, Taicang and Rizhao. For cargo from other regions feeder connections are used.
