Russian Railways have put into regular operation Digital railway station dynamic model, the company said in its social media channel,
The automated system is a key instrument in the visualization of digital railway station operations accumulating and reflecting information on railcars and locomotives dislocation and movement, rail track utilization, maneuvres, etc. The data is collected from rail automation devices as well from software tools.
In future, the system is expected to be capable of predicting events of various kind like possible delays, capacity reserves, expected clearing of tracks, etc.
