Russian Railways shared some statistics of fish transportation by rail. In December 2025, more than 51 thousand tons of fish was carried by rail from Primorsky Kray, up 1.8% year-on-year.
Containerized seafood transportation amounted to 2.2 thousand TEU, up 10.9% year-on-year, or 34.3 thousand tons, up 11.7% year-on-year.
During the full year of 2025 687.7 thousand tons of fish products was transported by rail.
Most of the fish cargo is designated for European Russia.
