New CEO in Rosmorport

  • Alexander Smirnov has been appointed CEO of Russia’s Rosmorport federal port agency. In this position, he replaces Andrey Lavrischev who took over as head of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot) earlier this year. 

    Lavrischev signed the order appointing Smirnov, who was Deputy CEO of Rosmorport since 2017 responsible for government relations, on March 2.

    Prior to Rosmorport, Smirnov, a lawyer by education, worked with federal governmental bodies and ministries occupying top positions with the Presidential Administration, the Ministry of Justice, and the Government Administration.
