FESCO Group and Rosatom State Corporation have reached an agreement on cooperation in managing FESCO’s Commercial Port of Vladivostok (VMTP). Rosatom will delegate one of its company as managing company of Commercial Port of Vladivostok, FESCO said in a statement.
On Monday this week, FESCO, Rosatom, and the Governor of Primorsky Kray agreed to develop a road map to develop the stevedoring company.
On Tuesday, a new collective agreement was signed between FESCO, the Government of Primorsky Kray and the local unit of the Russian Dockers’ Union. As part of the agreement, the parties agreed to reconcile, amend the disagreement that arouse earlier and work together to develop the company. FESCO promised to maintain all the social obligations the Group undertook earlier.
As of November 11, Roman Kukharuk, the newly appointed Managing Director of VMTP, was finally installed in his office in Commercial Port of Vladivostok, with the Governor of Primorsky Kray attending. Previously, the dockers’ union protested his appointment demanding that ex-MD Zairbek Yusupov be reinstalled in the office.
Kukharuk vowed he would protect the interests of the collective saying he would be the first to go should something go wwrong. The Governor promised to look into possible problems that may arise.
