    Государственный Корейский банк развития (KDB) сообщил о предстоящей сделке Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) по покупке Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME). По данным южнокорейского Yonhap, временное соглашение между HHI и DSME было подписано в январе, а официальная сделка между HHI и DSME состоится в начале марта. Samsung Heavy Industries так и не проявил заинтересованности в слиянии.

    Сделка оценивается в 2 трлн вон (1,78 млрд долларов). По условиям сделки, KDB, основной кредитор DSME с долей в 55,7%, продаст долю Hyundai Heavy. А затем выкупит акции Hyundai Heavy, выпущенные позже, на сумму 1,5 трлн вон (1,3 млрд долларов). Банк также рассмотрит возможность предоставления финансовой помощи Daewoo Shipbuilding в размере 1 трлн вон (890 млн долларов).

    Планируется, что материнский холдинг Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings будет владеть долей в 26%, а KDB – 18%. Закрытие сделки ожидается через 5-6 месяцев.
