Russia’s import of cars during January-June 2018 amounted to 138.3 thousand units, surging 22.5% year-on-year.
In terms of value, car import, according to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, grew 13.9% up to $3.4 bn.
Truck import decreased 85.4% down to 10.5 thousand units.
However, in terms of value truck import increased 18.2% exceeding $1 bn.
Car export declined by 0.2% down to 43.1 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was down 14.3% to $598 mn.
Truck export was up 5.2% to 6.1 thousand units.
In terms of value, truck export declined 4.4% down to $127.3 mn.
