Azov Freight Market, Week 48

  • The Sea of Azov freight market is sporadic. Market players are advising contradicting figures during this week.

On Monday, ship owners reported that the market is still rising. However, the rest of the week revealed a decline in trading activity, which resulted in a drop in freight levels.

According to Rufco brokers, trade is not easy now, and a number of vessels, which were taken on subs, did not receive a green light at the end.

Freight rates to the Sea of Marmara from Rostov are about $45-47 per ton, freight rates from Yeisk are $43-45 per ton.

Freight rates to Southeast Black Sea ports Marmara from Rostov make some $43-45 per ton, freight rates from Yeisk are on the $41-43 per ton level.

The Caspian market had also shown some sort of slack, freight levels lowered for about 1-2 dollars from the last week’s levels.

Grain loads can be shipped from Astrakhan to Iran at $52-55 per ton.

Please note that the rates quoted above are market average and are given as indicative, and the information is not a commercial offer and cannot be used in commercial arguments or arbitrage.
