The transcontinental AE19 service between Russian Pacific and Baltic ports continues operating after Maersk stopped accepting bookings and announced withdrawing from the Russian market.

Russian logistics operator Modul, the partner in the project, maintains the service expanding its scope and frequency. At present, block trains between Vostochny in the Russian Far East and St. Petersburg are running on a weekly basis.

The transit time from Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company in the port of Vostochny and the rail station of Avtovo in St. Petersburg is 12 days.

Besides, regular services from Vostocny to the rail stations of Novy Port, Kupchinskaya and Predportovaya have been launched, with a service frequency of 5-6 times a week.

Eastwards, trains run from the stations of Avtovo and Predportovaya. Both dry and reefer containers are transported, including ADR cargoes (except IMO Classes 1, 5.2, 6.2, 7).

While previously transit dominated on the route, now the main driver is import.

AE19 was launched by Maersk, Modul and Global Ports in 2019 (westwards). The first eastward train ran in 2020. Maersk suspended bookings for the service since March 3, 2022.
