During January-July 2021, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union increased by 29.1% year-on-year up to 131.3 bn euro.
According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was up 13.6% during the 7 months of 2021 making 50.8 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union grew by 41.2% up to 80.5 bn euro.
Russia rates the fifth among the largest importers from the EU after the USA, the United Kingdom, China and Switzerland.
Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia ranks the third after China and the USA.
