    According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-July Russia exported 14.1 mn tons of wheat and meslin, down 6.2% year-on-year. In terms of value, grain export grew by 12.3% up to over $3.6 bn.

    Wheat import into Russia during January-July 2021 increased by 47% up to 98.8 thousand tons. Corn import, on the contrary, declined by 27.8% down to 30.6 thousand tons. Barley import made 6.2 thousand tons, down 62.4% year-on-year.

    In terms of value, wheat import was up 75.1% to $38 mn. Corn import declined by 11.1% down to $98.9 mn, and barley import by 40% down to $1.8 mn.

    In July 2021 alone, wheat and meslin export made more than 1.8 mn tons, down 20.9% year-on-year and doan 20.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, it declined by 1.6% year-on-year and by 20.7% month-on-month to make $452.2 mn.

    Wheat import in July made 13.9 thousand tons, up 2-fold year-on-year and up 2.2% month-on-month. Value-wise, wheat import increased by 2.1-fold year-on-year and declined by 8.3% month-on-month to $5.2 mn.

    Corn import dropped by 78.6% year-on-year and by 88.9% month-on-month making 0.3 thousand tons. In terms of value, it was u$ 200 thousand, as much as in July last year and down 60% month-on-month.

    In July, Russian did not import barley.
