TransContainer in cooperation with Russian Railways has launched a block train to carry mineral and rapeseed oil in flexitanks from Tatarstan to Novorossiysk.
This is the company’s first regular flexitank service for cargo from several regions. The train carrying 58 20’ units with cargo from Tatarstan, Mordovia and Udmurtia left the station of Nizhnekamsk on February 16.
The transit time to the port of Novorossiysk will make 3 days, from there, the cargo will be shipped by sea to turkey, Israel, and China.
The next train from Tatarstan is planned in March. In future, TransContainer expects to send one or two flexitank trains a month.
In April 2020m TransContainer in cooperation with Ruscon launched a flexitank rail service from Volgograd Oblast to Novorossiysk for mineral oils designated for export to Turkey.
